I am sick to my stomach, to tell you the truth. More than 280 people were arrested in St. Paul on Monday, the opening day of the Republican National Convention – including several journalists covering the protests in the streets, one of them being Amy Goodman, the host and producer of Democray Now! Check out this video to see how ignorant the police reacted to her demands.
Like she said: it is outrageous. It seems like there are no protections for journalists covering the events at the RNC.
Here is a video where it becomes obvious that everything got out of control. Police even used harsh tactics against the peaceful demonstraters. They fired tear gas and pepper spray.
